Every year the New Jersey Superior Officers Association awards several $1,000.00 college scholarships. This year the NJSOA will be awarding four (4) $1,000.00 dollar scholarships. The scholarships are available to all active members in good standing, and their immediate family members. Generally these scholarships are awarded after a drawing at our October General Membership meeting. However, this year we have moved the scholarship drawings up to coincide with our First Annual Awards Ceremony in May. The scholarships will be drawn prior to the May 13, 2008 General Membership Meeting. Following an abbreviated meeting on May 13th, the Awards Ceremony will commence. At the Awards ceremony, the scholarship recipients will be announced and awarded the scholarships. It is with great pride that we continue this very worthwhile charitable venture that serves to enhance our members' benefits, as well as to support the educational endeavors of their children and family members.
